Double Tee
A Double Tee is a prestressed structural component used primarily in precast building construction. It is designed to provide significant load-bearing capacity and spans for floors and roofs in various types of structures, including parking garages, industrial buildings, public infrastructure. The “double-tee” part of the name refers to the shape of the component, which resembles two capital letter “T”s placed back-to-back. This shape is ideal for spanning long distances typicall around 60 feet while maintaining structural integrity. Each double-tee has a flat top surface and a bottom surface with ribs or flanges that help distribute loads and provide additional strength.
